Message display
This display shows how many new messages you have. This number should be set by your script using the NewMessageCount variable. If there are messages waiting the red light on the right will flash. Double clicking on this display will clear it to "No messages".

Monitor incoming calls
Pressing Mon. turns its green light on or off. When the light is on you can listen to incoming calls on your modem's speaker (or audio output jack).

Auto answer
Pressing Auto turns its green light on or off. When the light is on VM9000 will answer your calls as configured in your script.

Answer local and answer line
Pressing Line causes VM9000 to answer the telephone as if the phone were ringing. Local will do the same but will use the microphone and speaker rather than the telephone line allowing you to test your script. Both of these buttons operate regardless of the state of the Auto button.
