Apple/Mac Advocacy

In spite of Apple's troubles, people are passionate about their Macs. Why would I have one?
  1. Reliable
They don't crash a lot, the hardware works. I had a 512K Mac from 1984 that I used for 10 years, a pretty good life span for a computer.

  2. Easy of Use
I work with computers all day. When I go home, I don't want to be bothered fiddling with jumper switches, etc. I open my machine up about once a year to upgrade RAM, disks, or whatever, and it's a good time to clean out the dust, and that's enough for me.

  3. Complete System
I have sound, graphics, SCSI disks, etc all part of the system. I don't need to add on some other things that may or may not work.

  4. Multiple Platform
I can run Mac OS, Unix, and Windows 95 on my Mac all at the same time! This keeps my options open for all different types of computing solutions. Each approach has advantages, so I like to have those options.

  5. What it's Not
It's not part of the Microsoft Evil Empire. I have no desire to fatten Bill Gates' bank account. Freedom of choice is what America is all about, so I choose Mac. Also, when the top 10 list of PC software contains a couple virus protection programs, something's got to be wrong there.
