I'm involved in this cult called the Renaisaince Pleasure Faire that takes place in Novato (at least for the next year, and the previous 25 or so). I'm in the guild of St. Cuthberts and we do parades and pagegants. The place tends to be rather dusty towards the end of summer (when it typically opens) so you end up with faire boogers if you spend more than about half a day there. The privy monster's name is Harvey and he's a real friendly sort at 3am after you've been drinking all night and stumbling around in the dark.
I have some photos that I took last year while working it. They show some of my more sillier friends and the crazy antics they like to do. Unfortunately the page has quite a few images on it, so it may take a while to load in the whole page, but it's more or less worth it. :-)
In fact, one of the sillier things we did was to present a geek favor(tm) to the Queen (who is a geek herself).
