On Saturday, January 27th, our very own Rose de LeMans will be teaching us how to make and stuff sausages. We will be making about 60 pounds of 3 different kinds of sausage to be served at White Shield. Please be sure to wear your hair back and a short sleeved shirt that you won't mind getting dirty, or bring an apron. I will provide latex gloves. It will start at noon at my house located at 670 San Miguel Canyon Rd. Royal Oaks, CA 95076. (See directions below.) We hope to finish this in one day, so we can use as many hands as we can get.

Directions: From the North, take Hwy 101 South and take the SAN JUAN RD exit (where the big red barn is.) Go 2.4 miles and you will see a brown county sign that reads "Royal Oaks County Park", turn LEFT onto TARPEY RD right after that sign. Go another 1.3 miles and you will see another brown county sign for "Royal Oaks County Park", you will make a RIGHT turn onto SAN MIGUEL CANYON RD just after that sign. Be careful, as right after the sign and again after you turn onto San Miguel, there has been some road work, so there are some "bumps" in the road. ***Proceed another .7 miles and you will pass a cross street that is Bonny Rd on the right and Paddon Rd on the left. Our driveway is the next one on the LEFT and is located directly across the street from a pond, a telephone pole and a black mailbox with the numbers 670 on it. There is also a Caldwell Banker "For Sale" sign at the bottom of the driveway. The driveway will curve sharply up to the left and will wind its way to
 the top. When you get to the top of the hill you will see a house. This is not our house. Continue on to the left and around to the back where you will see a single level, ranch style home. This is our house. There may be 3 very friendly dogs to greet you. I stress the FRIENDLY part. They will not harm you, but will appreciate some pets if you are up for it. If you get lost our number is 831-761-8285. 
 
Directions: From Santa Cruz, take Hwy 1 South to the SALINAS RD exit, just past Watsonville, turn LEFT. Make a slight RIGHT onto WERNER RD, then turn RIGHT onto ELKHORN RD. Go 3.2 miles and go past the San Miguel Cyn road on the right. Go another .4 miles and turn LEFT on to the continuation of SAN MIGUEL CANYON RD. Follow the directions from ***.
 
Directions from Monterey, take HWY 1 North to HWY 156. Turn LEFT at CASTROVILLE BLVD (there is a light). Follow this until it ends and take the slight RIGHT turn onto the continuation of Castroville blvd. Go 3 miles until it ends and turn LEFT onto SAN MIGUEL CANYON RD. Go another 3.9 miles until it ends and turn RIGHT. Go another .4 miles and turn LEFT onto SAN MIGUEL CANYON RD. Follow the directions from ***.
