Thanks for everyone's input.  

I'll probably make a strap for my ceramic goblet-thing that I got at renfaire, and look for some decent "feast gear".  I may feel a little unprepared this time, but I'm sure it will be fine.

I'll probably be making a cloak of sorts, I'm working on a design that will let it be a backpack as well without looking stupid.  I wasn't planning to drag along much stuff, probably plate+utensils, my class gear, a few foodstuffs, and my walking stick.  We'll see.

To whoever suggested it, I happen to have already met Wilhelm, Awrabella, and Eirich (sp?) and their significant-others, so that's a few faces I will already know.  Although, for some strange reason they all looked familiar...*cue twilight zone music...*  :)
