Java development

Use the SCO Java Development Kit for Java development on all SCO platforms. It can be downloaded from our web site (http://www.sco.com/download) or installed from the UDK CD-ROM. To develop or run Java applications on SCO OpenServer, you will also need a Binary Compatibility Module; these are also available at the download site and on the UDK.

If your application is 100% Java and already exists on another platform, you may well not need to modify or port it at all for SCO; just take the bytecodes and move them onto your SCO OpenServer machine with the appropriate JDK and ``compat'' modules installed and run them.
