Listing and sorting files and directories

Use the desktop and directory View menus to change how files and directories are listed in the windows. You have the following options:

• Icons: represents files and directories as icons.

• Names: represents files and directories as mini-icons, with their labels.

• Details: represents files and directories as mini-icons, followed by their labels, sizes, and modification times.

To select how the files and directories are sorted, choose Sort from the directory View menu. The resulting cascade menu allows you to sort by:

• Title in Class: sorts by title with directories before files.

• Title: sorts by titles only.

• Time: sorts according to the last modification time.

• Size: sorts according to file size, with the largest first.
