Selecting multiple icons
Selecting multiple icons
When multiple icons are selected, actions such as printing,
editing, and copying affect all of them.
For example, you can:

print multiple files with one print request.

edit multiple files at the same time.
-
get file property information about multiple files with one request.

copy multiple files with one request.
To select all the icons in the active window:

Open the Edit menu on the
desktop or directory menu bar.

Select Select All.
To select a group of icons:

Point to an unoccupied space in the Desktop or
a directory window near the icons that you want to select.

Press and hold mouse button 1.

Drag the mouse: a rectangular box opens and follows the movement.

Release the mouse button to select any icons the box surrounds.
To select two or more icons individually:

Select the first icon with mouse button 1.

Select subsequent icons with mouse button 2.
