Problems renaming directories

If you have problems renaming a directory, check the permissions. You must have write permissions on the directory you have selected to rename. You also need write permissions on the parent directory (the directory containing the directory you want to rename). Also, make certain that you are not using illegal characters in the new directory name. See ``Controlling file permissions''.
