Standard Microsystems Corporation (SMC) has replaced the Western Digital Ethernet adapters with their own interchangeable adapters. Your SCO system provides support for both the older Western Digital 8003 and 8013 adapters as well as their SMC replacements.
If you have a SMC or Western Digital 8003 or 8013 series ISA network adapter and you selected autodetect while completing the initial system installation procedures, and you later want to modify your hardware configuration, note:
During installation, do not use I/O base addresses 200, 220, 340, 3C0, or 3e0 for the WD 8003E and 8013EBT adapters. Because of register-address aliasing, these addresses can cause your machine to hang at boot time.
These IBM adapters are compatible with the Western Digital and SMC adapters listed in the following table; all use the same SCO wdn driver.

Standard Microsystems Corporation (SMC) has replaced the Western Digital Ethernet adapters with their own interchangeable adapters. Your SCO system provides support for both the older Western Digital MCA adapters as well as their SMC replacements.
Because these are MCA adapters, begin by installing your adapter and running your machine's MCA reference disk. After configuring your adapter, run the Network Configuration Manager to configure your adapter's driver.
