Configuring TCP/IP client services

The Client Manager allows you to set up a host as a client of several TCP/IP networking services. With the Client Manager, you can:

• Configure name service using one or more of these methods:

  • Domain Name System (DNS)

  • the /etc/hosts file

• Configure a default route to a network gateway.

• Configure the order in which the configured name services will be tried when the client wants to resolve domain names and IP addresses.

• Configure a Network Time Protocol (NTP) client
