Configuring window manager key bindings
Key bindings provide a way to define the action that is
performed when you press a key or a sequence of keys in various
window manager contexts.
You can use many combinations of keystrokes to invoke
many different actions. The actions performed depend on where
the keyboard input focus is on the screen.
There is also
an example
at the end of this chapter that helps
tie together many of the concepts and
procedures discussed in this chapter.
This chapter does not discuss translation tables and
hardcoding key bindings into applications.
