Viewing SCO Gateway for NetWare printers

A SCO Gateway for NetWare printer is a UNIX system printer that is configured to send print jobs to a NetWare printer.


NOTE: Before you can use a SCO Gateway for NetWare printer, you must log into its NetWare server.

You can view SCO Gateway for NetWare printers for one server or SCO Gateway for NetWare printers for all servers.

In the NetWare Access Manager:

The SCO Gateway for NetWare printer information includes:

Printer Name
The UNIX system printer name.

Printer Type
The printer model, or printer type.

NetWare server
The SCO Gateway for NetWare printer is located on this NetWare server. Log into this server before using the SCO Gateway for NetWare printer.

You can also view available SCO Gateway for NetWare printers from the command line. The command

lpstat -v

displays printer data, including SCO Gateway for NetWare printer information:

   server for laser1: dakar, print server: PS1, queue: Q1
The above output associates the SCO Gateway for NetWare printer laser1 to the server dakar, meaning that you must log into dakar before printing to SCO Gateway for NetWare printer laser1. See lpstat(C) for complete details.
