Guide to Gateways for LAN Servers
Chapter 2, Using SCO Gateway for NetWare

Controlling your autologin feature

Controlling your autologin feature

The autologin feature is, by default, disabled. Although you can enable autologin, please read this before doing so.

Once autologin is enabled, it is activated when you attempt to access NetWare services before logging in.

In this case, the autologin feature produces a graphical window at your computer's console, requesting a login to the NetWare server. After the login and password are verified, the NetWare access proceeds.

NOTE: When enabled, autologin displays all graphical windows and messages at your computer's console. Since many users do not use the computer's console, but rather use a remote terminal, your autologin feature is disabled by default.

To enable autologin in the NetWare Access Manager, pull down the Server menu and select Select Autologin.

In the Set Autologin window:

  1. Select Autologin Enabled.

  2. Click on Close.
