NetWare login requirements
You must log into a NetWare server before you can access its files,
directories or printers.
The important features of a NetWare login are:
There are two ways to login: manual login and autologin.
By default, all users must log in manually to NetWare servers. This is done from the Desktop using the NetWare Access Manager and from the command line using nwlogin(NWG).
Alternatively, you can enable autologin, which ensures that whenever you perform an operation requiring a NetWare login, you will be prompted to do so.
The autologin feature works only if you are working from the Desktop at your computer's console. Because this is not the case for many SCO system users, the autologin feature is turned off for all users by default.
If autologin is enabled, it is activated when you access NetWare services without having first logged in.
In this case, the autologin feature produces a graphical window at your console, requesting a login to the NetWare server. After the login and password are verified, the NetWare access proceeds.
