Tejas Edwards On Vacation 1997

This year I've decided to bring some of my digital goodies with me on vacation. I'm planning on downloading pictures and info every few days, depending on my finding Motels with phones that will allow me to download my words of wit and pictures of praise.
First let me start with, this vacation was not really planned, just the date was planned so my Father and my schedule would match up. When people asked where we were planning on going, we replied "don't know yet, probably know when we get back".

So stay tuned and I'll update as conditions allow.

Day one "Clean"

Tuesday the 22nd Dad and I left for Cobb CA where my Aunt lives for a quick visit. It's been hot

around 85-95. After a short but nice visit (Relative stuff you know). Anyway on to day two and on to

Mt Lassen.

We stayed in a small town called Mineral. Nice place but a little expensive to stay.

So we stayed 2 days, and explored Lassen and then to Chester and a back route to

Mineral.

Thursday the 24th, we are off to the Oregon border, and guess what we ran into?

Yep you guested it, traffic. I go 500 miles away on vacation, and I run into TRAFFIC!!!!!

Took about an hour to get through.

So tonight I'm in Grants Pass Oregon, tomorrow should put me some place above

Portland, and then onto Port Angles then Canada.

More in a couple of days.

Installment II

Sorry not to have added more pictures but I've been busy, and had a slew of motels with or without phones

that I could not dial in and download.

So, Dad and I decided to make a rush trip up to Port Angles WA from Grants Pass OR. it was nice and clear, lots to see

from I 5 traviling at 70!

The pictures in this block are of the look out at Blue

Mountain Nice drive up some well maintained dirt roads,

all was well until we were attacked by the killer Deer

flies. We were swarmed by them and I do mean

swarmed, to the left you will see one of these attack

flies. It was like being in an Alfred Hitchcock movie.

This was one of our Picnic sites at Pillar Pt.

The view from Douglas Hill on Victoria Isl.

Some point on Victoria Island

Weird rock formations on all of the beaches

Dad at Cattle Pt on Victoria Island According

to the sign, they used to push cattle off of

the Paddle wheeler and let the cows swim

to shore. (Welcome to Canada, now swim!)
