Rules to build a
train car for BM to be pulled by Fusion Valley... - Base Frame must be built out of box steel no less then 4 linear pieces 1x4 metal tube rails (Figure A) - Base Frame must have angles or steel plate for sheer (Figure A) - Dimensions must not exceed 10' by 30' (Figure A) - Must have a solid front axle, where as the entire axle pivots via a king pin. (Figure B) - King Pin must be no less then a solid 1" round bar. (Figure B) - Must overall be a sound frame. What you put on that frame is up to you. - You need to have 2" ball in the rear centered on your frame at 12" (Top of ball) above the ground. (Figure C) - The front of your car should have a pivoted 2" receiver centered, and connected to the front axle. (Figure B) This also should be hinged like a tow car would be behind an RV. (Figure B) - Must have 4 air inflated tires (Mostly for comfort, especially if you have no suspension) - - - - - - Note: The above rules are so you car can handle the stress associated by being part of a train, if you are say the first car behind the engine, your car must be able to handle the stress of all cars behind you. |
