My wife Nandhini, Akshaya and myself decided to celebrate Akshaya's 3rd birthday by inviting her friends.
We celebrated Akshaya's 3rd Birthday on 4th January 2007 in the community hall in my Kodan Apartment Building.
We have invitied our Indian friends Kurinji with Family, Jayakumar with Family along with Japanese Friends, Yuko and family, Maria and family, Miura and family and Hattori sensei.
I arranged food from Meera Indian Restaurant near Kitashinchi station at Dai ichi Building.
We expected 14 adults and 8 kids and the food was ordered for 20.
Jayakumar, his wife Kavitha and their kid Varshini arrived around 10.00 am on 4th Janurary 2007 at Morinomiya station. I have ordered cakes from Fujiya for my daughter and Kurinji's wife Vijayalakshmi who shared the same birthday as my daughter, 4th January.
We collected cakes and came home by around 11.15. Then Jayakumar and myself went to Kitashinchi by train, collected the food and came home by taxi. By the time we reached home, Kurinji, Viji, their kid Abhi and Viji's mother and father joined us at the groud floor of my apartment.
We had a small chat at my home and then we reached the community hall by around 12.00. I collected the keys and we got in. Surprisingly the room was enough for 20 people though the rent is not justified.
All our Japanese friends arrived shortly and we decorated the room slightly. Around 1.00 o'clock Akshaya cut the Birthday Cake followed by Vijayalakshmi.
We had a nice lunch and the food was enough and tasty too. Kids Akshaya, Abhi, Marei and her brother, Renna, Rin chan, Yamato and his brother, Varshini all enjoyed playing for a while.
We closed the event with a group photograph around 3 o' clock and returned home.
Akshaya had a real nice Birthday Celebration and she had a good time with her friends on that day.
