Visne Hosafi

(Sour Cherry Hoshaf)




Sour cherries 3 cups 600 g
Sugar 3/4 cup+2 1/2 tablespoons 180 g
Water 4 cups 1 lt


Remove stems of cherries. Set aside and water in a saucepan. Stir over low heat until sugar is dissolved. Bring to boil. Add cherries; stir. Reduce heat. Simmer for 15 minutes. Remove from heat; cool. Serve chilled or cold in individual cups or bowls
