across the steppes. A depleted and reeling German Wehrmacht
must slow it enough to stave off defeat. This will be another
test game of Kent Reuber's Patton Rules, a fast and easy
set of operational-level WWII rules, where each stand is
battalion-sized, and a multi-day battle can be played in an
afternoon. Everything provided, except your will to fight and
tactical acumen.

by Bob Bergman. Another in the continuing 20mm scale Spanish Civil
War series using Rapid Fire rules with the Rompan el

Republican factions working to eject a Nationalist force from the
town of Los Cajones, somewhere in the south of Spain. Each player
will have a brigade of troops, consisting of 2-3 battalions with a

support or some armored reinforcements. Each player will also have
separate victory conditions that may or may not involve
cooperation with other Republican players! Factions will includes
Communists, Socialists, Anarchists, Basques, Regular Army, and
there may be more than one force for a faction (if there is
sufficient interest).
If you would like to play, email

of troops available, but your own miniatures are welcome.

good excuse to play a WW I naval game with miniatures that would

Western Mediterranean in search of each other, and victory.

|
Operational ACW Shootout, round 1.
by Kent Reuber. Kent has decided to try various
"big battle" rules for the American Civil War, by playing the same
battle with several sets of rules to test which ones feel right.
The scenario he's chosen is Stones River (Murfreesboro), and this
month the rules will be Phil Barker's
Horse Foot and Guns, which you can read about at the Horse, Foot
and Guns Yahoo group.
In the coming months, Kent also plans to try "Volley and
Bayonet", Chipco's "Le Petite Emperor" (or perhaps the ACW rules from
"Fantasy Rules 3"), and perhaps others such as Alienstar's "Into
Glory Ride". Other suggestions are welcome.

|
2:00 PM
|
Aerodrome 1.1
by Stan Kubiak. We haven't had a good Aerodrome dust-up in a while,
so Stan Kubiak is going to bring out the World War 1 planes for an
afternoon (and early evening?) of fun. We'll be trying out a new
tournament scoring system devised by an Aerodrome enthusiast from
the Midwest, and prizes will be awarded in a number of categories.
If that's not enough to pique your interest, Stan will have the
newly updated (at LONG last!) SBGC Aerodrome 1.1 Victory rosters
along; find out where you stand! We have several of new Legion of
Honor members (25 or more victories) who will need to claim their
Blue Max medals: Rob Baron (32), Michael Ackerman (31), Katharyn
Roberts (28), Ix Nichols (27) and Jim Yonemura (25). And there will
be a special award for Lawrence Goslinowski, who has indeed passed
100 victories!

Scheduling Policy
If you'd like to submit a game, you can
mail it to the webmaster. Please include a brief description of the game,
a start time, and the size/number of tables required. If you don't specify a
time, the game will be scheduled at either 11:00 AM or 6:00 PM (whichever the
scheduler considers more convenient), and the default table size is 4' x 8'.
You may include downloadable files with your game description if you think it
will help players prepare or increase interest in the game, but please provide
them to the webmaster in a common readable format (such as PDF, text, HTML,
JPEG, GIF, etc.). Many people can't read MS Word, Excel and Power Point files,
so please be forewarned that the webmaster will grumble at you in a religious
vein about internet standards if you submit files in one of these formats.
As a matter of policy, the club does not post contact information for
individual members on the Web site. If you wish to have an e-mail address
or phone number listed with your event, you will have to make the request
explicitly each time you offer a game. Also, if you want a favorite link
added to the web site, provide the URL and a brief explanation of why the
link might be of interest.
Send feedback to the SBGC Webmaster
