I Love You

My love, I have been searching for the words

that mean more than

"I Love You"

but how can I find the words to say you mean more,

than the very food I eat,

or the water that I drink.

"I Love You"

doesn't seem to say it all,

it can't say that its you I see when I close my eyes,

or that it's your voice I hear in my dreams.

"I Love You"

never says with every heartbeat I feel two,

yours and mine together.

"I Love You"

Isn't enough to say

that it's you I look to for warmth on a cold night

"I Love You"

doesn't let you know that,

I need you more than the sun,

or even the very air I breathe!

The truth is. My Love,

I breathe to bring me one day closer...

to being in your arms again.

"I Love You'

doesn't tell you that, when the wind touches my face

it's your hands that I feel caressing me.

"I Love You"

doesn't express how deeply I care,

I can't think of a way to say all of this to you.

So I shall simply say...

"I Love You"

Knowing that you know

what these three words

Mean to me.
