The friendly black kitty who often joins me in the garden, here resting near the parsley, favas, and cilantro.

Last fall's cilantro which has bolted and is now flowering.  I'll leave this in for the beneficial insects it attracts, and the eventual seeds.
Crimson clover -- a nitrogen fixing over-winter cover crop. A great bee plant, too, with showy red flowers.

with all the rain and cool weather, these 3 squash plants are the only summer crop in the garden so far.

The potato pit. These were planted in early March and I've been filling in the pit with straw and soil as the plants grow.

Purple-podded shelling peas planted last fall.  The peas themselves are green.

Tyee spinach.
