A full time position in the field of computer science which will enable me to return to New York. I am seeking a job which is within reasonable commuting distance of Poughkeepsie, ideally, though I'm open to other areas as well.
Currently I am working at International Telecommunication Data Services (ITDS) Intelicom, a company which provides a cellular telephone billing solution called TRIS+. The Intelicom division was formerly owned by Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), but with its purchase, ITDS became the second largest provider of cellular telephone billing services in the world. I originally worked in the front end production group, which is just behind the front lines of product support. When a product support representative cannot solve a problem through the front end, this group is called on to write sql and unix shell scripts to solve the problem. We fixed problem data and create batch processes which automate data manipulation. A few months ago I was transferred to the development department to work on korn shell, abf, and 4gl mass utilities. I currently write utilities that use the functions of the standard source code to perform a single task multiple times across a large number of database entries.
I previously worked at Pinebush Technology testing and maintaining the test base. I also helped to design a database with which the test timing data was to be manipulated and compared.
I also worked at Cypress Semiconductor programming database reports to enable semiconductor engineers to make full use of the data collected while producing their chips. My reports were used for such tasks as identifying problem areas in the production sequence and presenting production reports to their superiors.
My experience at RPI lies mainly in engineering, physics, and computers.
