This was to be my last Dead show. I didn't know it at the time, but you get a feeling sometimes. My friend Vicky and I went to this one and had quite a good time. I remember the first one she had seen, and she always enjoyed the energy and the music, and watching all the people who made up the spectacle. It was a fun era, and there was always such a good energy at these events. I'll miss it, no doubt, but life goes on. Years later I went and saw "The Other Ones" play at Shoreline, and it was actually better than I thought it would be.
