Laguna Seca Raceway, Monterey, CA (5/10/87)

This was kind of a spur-of-the-moment show for us. I had married Pam in the past year, so we were busy with that, and hadn't been to any shows for a while. I think this was also when Jerry had is health problems. After that, I figured any Dead show was a bonus. My friend Larry was driving back from Med school in Michigan and stopped by. He had this big old Winnebago with all his stuff in it, so we all piled in there and went to the show. I think this was the show that Los Lobos & Bruce Hornsby also played. Who would have thought that he would be playing keyboards for them later? It was a pretty warm day, but this would prepare us for the Pope's visit later in the year at the same place.
