I gotta tell ya, after hearing that particular caller,
that reminds me of something very funny that happened. I took
my mom-- I treated my mom to Disneyworld not too long ago, and
we're walking around Disneyworld in Florida, and all these
people have Animaniacs shirts. Did I tell you about this?
ROB PAULSEN
No.
JESS
Rob, this is very... This is unbelievable. And she's going--
My mom's saying, "Oh, go tell 'em. Go tell 'em it's
you." And I'm like, "No, Mom, I don't think
that's..." -- "C'mon, they'll be so happy..."
Well, we end up in this one line and there's this little boy
-- real cute little boy, about eight years old, with an
Animaniacs shirt. So I go over to him and-- And my mom says,
"You gotta tell him. Oh, c'mon, he's eight years old;
he'll be so--" I go, "Okay..." So I go over to
him and go, "Hey, I like your shirt," you know, and
he kinda looks at me like I'm nuts, and he goes, "Oh...
Okay..." And I go, "You like Animaniacs, huh?"
and he goes, "Yyyeah..."
ROB
"No, I like Rugrats; that's why I'm wearin' this
shirt, you big dope!"
JESS
And I go, "Who's your favorite one?" you know,
and he goes, "Khe... Wakko, why??" I go,
"Well, it's funny you say that, man, 'cause, you know,
I do his voice." And he kind of looks at me for a
second, and he goes, "So? I do it too." I go,
"No no no no no..." I go, "I mean I really
do it on the show." And he goes, "Khe... No you
don't," all right? And I go, "No, I do!" and
he goes, "But they do that in California." And I
go, "I live in California," and he goes,
"Yeah, right." So I take out my driver's license
and I show it to him, and I go, "Look! It's
California!" He goes, "(Sarcastic) Oh,
yeah, if you're in California, then you must do his
voice." And I go, "Oh god..." And he's like,
"Well, look. Prove it. Let me hear you do it."
And go, "Well now I'm on the spot! I'm nervous"
now with this kid. And he goes, "Well, just say
something," and I go, "(As Wakko) Well
it sure is great to be here at Disneyworld, huh?"
And he goes, "Khe... You don't even sound like
him."
(laughter)
