Minus: Dis Cortex, tu veux faire quoi cette nuit?
Cortex: La même chose que chaque nuit, Minus: tenter de conquérir la monde!

C'est Minus et Cortex
C'est Cortex et Minus
L'une est plein d'astuce
L'autre un vrai nimbus
Deux souris diaboliques
Du génie génétique
Quelles canailles,
Ces p'tites souris cobailles, -bailles, -bailles, -bailles,
-bailles, -bailles, -bailles, -bailles,
-bailles.

Dans leur tête elles projètent
Des plans sur la comête
Pour partir à la conquête
De toute la planête

C'est Cortex et Minus
C'est Minus et Cortex
Qui ont le réflexe
De vouloir sans complexes
Tendre une souricière
A la terre toute entière
Quelles canailles,
Ces p'tites souris cobailles, -bailles, -bailles, -bailles,
-bailles, -bailles, -bailles, -bailles.
(just the cage noise here)

Series theme:

Minus*: Gee, Cortex, you want to do what tonight?
Cortex: The same thing as every night, Minus: Try to conquer the world!

It's Minus and Cortex
It's Cortex and Minus
One is a smart-aleck**
The other, a true nimbus
Two diabolic mice
Of genetic engineering
What scoundrels,
Those small mouse guinea-pigs***, -pigs, -pigs, -pigs,
-pigs, -pigs, -pigs, -pigs,
-pigs.

In their heads they scheme
Of plans on the comet
For leading to the conquest
Of the entire planet

It's Cortex and Minus
It's Minus and Cortex
Who have the reflex
To want without complexes
To set a trap
Around the whole world
What scoundrels,
Those small mouse guinea-pigs, -pigs, -pigs, -pigs,
-pigs, -pigs, -pigs, -pigs.
(strangely, there's no narf or anything here!)

* -- Minus happens to be the French word for the smallest finger, just as pinky is in English.

** -- The word astuce can mean artfulness, tricks, wisecracks, smartness, etc., so I translated the "plein d'astuce" ("full of astuce") as the English expression "a smart-aleck." It might have been just as appropriate to stay more literal and make it "full of tricks," but I think the way I made it flows better with the following line.

*** -- "Mouse guinea-pigs" sounds strange, but there really wasn't a better way for me to translate it. In English, there isn't anything other than guinea-pigs to refer to living experimental subjects, which is what the French cobailles means.
