SMALL BUSINESS TRAINING
THE PROGRAM
The Small Business Training Program (SBTP), (408) 479-6422 is designed for people who either own, work with or are considering starting a small business. Classes are geared toward increasing the success of small businesses in Santa Cruz County by offering practical, Òhands-onÓ instruction in the following areas:
- Accounting and Tax Series
- Finance and Business Planning
- Human Resources/Personnel
- Management
- Marketing and Customer Relations
Most classes are short-term (8-16 hours for 1/2 to 1 unit), intensive, and presented on weekday evenings and Saturday mornings on the Cabrillo College campus. Students can work toward a Certificate of Proficiency or an Associate in Science Degree.
Certificate and degree programs are meant to be flexible to suit your personal interests and needs. The Cabrillo counseling department can recommend a program.
