The Loma Prieta Quake of '89 - Party at Cameron's

Party at Cameron's

The night of the quake, we heard that some folks were gathering at Cameron's place in the Outlook Apartments. There wasn't really much else to do, so we left a note on the door for Irene in case she came by and headed over there, where we found the beginnings of an earthquake party. Cameron hung a tiny Solitaire-type flashlight from the chandelier. We sat around drinking Blue Curacao, with the slowly dwindling flashlight swaying to and fro as the aftershocks rolled through. I left my windbreaker at Cameron's that night, forgot about it, he moved, and I didn't get it back until nine years later.

Seen here: Ellen, Steve, Candi, Marlo, and Cameron.
