Each year but one since 1994, The Armory has held a Revolting-Appearing Foods Potluck & Party. The theme is foods that are simultaneously appealing to the palate and yet repulsive to the eye. The epitome of this pursuit is to create a dish that, tasty though it is, only the hardiest individuals actually ingest (and they just to prove they can). More broadly, it is simply a “play with your food” event, so many dishes fall into the categories of “titillating” and simply “amusing”.
