I look on those who seem to feel that it is their personal duty to be an Internet spelling, grammar and/or punctuation chequer with some disdain.

Now, I agree that one should be as clear in their writing as is reasonably possible.

However, as long as the reader can garner the meaning of what is written, to comment on such issues as spelling, suggests to me that the person commenting was, in some form, dehumanized to the point of feeling that, if they could just know all of the rules, they would be more accepted and, somehow, better people.

I take some delight in breaking the rules and in seeing others do it especially when it is done with creativity.

Some examples that leap to mind are:

 Auld  instead of  old
 Nuze  instead of  news
Satyrday instead of Saturday  (of this group, this is my favorite)

So, go head and poke fun at my spelling.  Correct me at every opportunity.

I won't respond, but you'll know what I'm thinking.
