About the Author
Joe remembers writing his first poem when he was six or seven years old. It was political in nature, at a time when he didn't even know what politics were. His real political awakening came on the streets of Seattle in 1999 while expressing his constitutional right to freedom of assembly, which was severely curtailed by the local police force's use of teargas. He has since attended several protests, including the first large demonstration held in Washington DC against the Bush Administration's drive for world war. Joe has traveled extensively and currently lives on the Big Island of Hawaii. |
