SHEEP, GOATS & OTHERS

Yeller used to board in our pasture. It's nice having a horse on the property without having to take care of it. (The owners have been responsible for water, grooming, vet care, any additional feed.) Our horse renters have usually been very nice, although one has been very hard on the fences.

The goats walked pretty well on a leash, and the sheep always stayed pretty close to their friends. They're on their way back home after a day in a neighbor's yard. We don't have the goats any more. Lily, the black & white one, gave me a concussion for Christmas one year.

Sheep plus shearer equals fleece plus much smaller sheep. We've had some trouble finding a shearer at times as many of them are older men who retire soon after we find them. We've got a pretty good shearer right now.
