Make my wonder why I even bothered. SUre is a sad world its becomming isnt it. this was my question I posted. Hi all I have a Bell and Howell 454 cube projector. Geez got that when I got married 33 years ago and it still works cept for the auto focus. It keeps cycling and the picture keeps moving as the mirror moves due to the cycling. Any tips or suggest on how to stop it from cycling all the time. OR. Anyone know which wire goes to the motor that I can clip to stop the motor from cycling the mirror. I dont mind focusing by hand. Thanks JJ Oh well. _________________________________________________________________ The new MSN 8: advanced junk mail protection and 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail From sanlo at rushmore.com Thu Dec 18 15:58:58 2003 From: sanlo at rushmore.com (Alexander M McBride) Date: Thu Dec 18 14:58:56 2003 Subject: [SlideCube] Bell & Howell CP 40 slide cube 35 mm projector Message-ID: <002e01c3c5ba$85302620$13d29fd1@D4BW8D21> I'm considering the purchase of a Bell & Howell CP 40 slide cube projector but I can't find an instruction manual anywhere on the Internet. Does anybody out there know where I could obtain one? Also, the ELH lamp in this device needs to be changed. The current bulb seems to be almost wedged into place..Any suggestions as to how to replace it? Thanks Alex McBride From hqbibb at earthlink.net Thu Dec 18 19:13:43 2003 From: hqbibb at earthlink.net (Henry Bibb) Date: Thu Dec 18 16:06:17 2003 Subject: [SlideCube] Bell & Howell CP 40 slide cube 35 mm projector Message-ID: <410-220031251901343250@earthlink.net> Alexander, I think mine's an AF-60, and I don't know if I have the manual anymore or not. But, fire away with questions and I'll see if I can help you out. One peculiarity of the Slide Cube projectors, as compared to a Carousel or something, is that the Slide Cube can only back up one slide, where the others can go backward indefinitely. It might be an issue if I used the thing for presentations, but for my uses, it's never been a problem. As for the bulb, I don't think I've ever changed mine. I'll have to go get it out, and have a look to see how it goes in there. It should be helpful. I have two of these. They were a good idea but manufactured with inexpensive components to keep the price competitive with the carosels.
