It would be possible in theory, but I don't know if I'd try it.
I see that KMR Electronics has CBA sockets for carousel projectors:

You might ask them for a description of it to determine if it would work
in a slide cube projector.
CBAs are expensive but they pop up on ebay:

I've had good luck buying projection bulbs from ebay sellers.
