<div dir="ltr"><div></div>I find this to be such a funny question because I discovered Kornfield through Joe! It opened me up to Buddhist thought, which I never took seriously until my 30s. It turns out that Jack went to college with my dad at Dartmouth. Anyway, it's been interesting to see the evolution of his career. There was a big article on him in the Times at the beginning of the pandemic.<div><br></div><div>I think, had I been introduced to him any other way, I would have dismissed him as corny. I often think the debbie may/kornfield/larry block are some of the best episodes—and the most enlightening for me as a developing human—because they really present the strengths and weaknesses of different philosophical outlooks.</div><div><br></div><div>Recently, a friend's grandfather passed away and I directed her to Kornfield. You'll find in other interviews Kornfield expressed his
blessing. Even mentioning that if it does anyone any good,
that's great (something along those lines.) <br>
Though it's likely true that Joe's appearance in his life was
a blip to Kornfield.<br>

The music is derivative (Joe made the loops and added vocals /
drones to it at times. Plus, there were / have been no
complaints.</font></p>
