Joe sat in for Dierdre O'Donoghue in her KCRW show 'Snap' on
1985 February 28. He called it 'Piano bar theater'. He played the
piano - just noodling - and sang a song asking Ms O'Donoghue why she
wasn't there.
He aired an alternative version of 'The night watchman'
followed by the original, asked callers for their preference. (I'd
never heard the former.)
He aired a shortened version of 'Dreams of the river', said he
considered calling it 'Portrait of a dreamer'.
He talked about 'Dreams' then introduced 'When she's asleep
she looks like an angel'. It's about a minute longer than the
versions I've recorded off the radio. He says some random numbers.
He said that he was there temporarily, hoped to come
permanently. He thanked all the people at KCRW who had helped him.
