In 'Karma, part 4' (2000) Larry tells of a woman moving into a
nearby apartment, an attractive older woman from California, an
actress. They hang, ride bikes around town, eventually have an
affair. Larry talks to a friend about the friend's affair, mentions
his; his daughter Zoe overhears, tells Jolly, who decides Larry has to
move out. Larry has a job in California. The time away cools out
their anger; they allow Larry back into the home. (at 13 minutes)
In 'The box' (1999) Larry (in LA) calls Marilyn (in Santa
Barbara). He's drunk; he tries to get her to let him drive up to
Santa Barbara to see her; she won't. They decide he'll drive up
tomorrow.  (It doesn't sound like Larry to me;
https://www.joefrank.com/shop/box-the/ says it's Larry.) This is the
only time Marilyn's voice appears in Joe's shows. (at 5 minutes)
In 'Terminal' (2001) Larry writes e-mails to Marilyn (now in
Silver Lake, a neighborhood of LA). Jolly sees them and gets mad.
(about 34 minutes).
In the penultimate segment of 'Terminal' Larry is trying to
convince a woman to let him stay in her house until he gets back on
his feet. She demurs. The woman isn't named. In an interview Joe
says it was fictional, that he hired an actress (apparently Sharon
O'Connell) to play the woman. Could this have been meant to be
Marilyn?
Larry and Jolly stayed married until his death, in 2012. I
speculate that their relationship wasn't as bad as played on Joe's
shows. In line with that I speculate that the relationship with
'Marilyn' is also a fiction.
