[joe-frank-list] Joe Frank, "Goodbye"

I listened to "Goodbye" a few nights ago. It's great
to have Joe back -- it's a nice reminder that he blows
everything else out there away.

I found that introduction, which I assume is a
distillation of conversations he's had over the past
few years, to be rather touching. Was that Larry
Block? (Why do all of Joe's male contributors sound
like Larry Block to me? Would someone please
explain?)

I was also amazed to hear that Joe's mother is still
around. I loved his description of the weirdness of
being in a wheelchair while his mother is walking
freely around.

It's also great to hear Joe maintaining his sense of
humor in adversity. I didn't expect to laugh at loud
at Joe's return show, after all that's happened.

The one thing I found disturbing was the title.
"Goodbye?" Is this to be Joe's swan song? Better not
be, I put good money into those "cheer me up" DVDs, so
goddamit, you'd better deliver, Frank!
