Yes, actually it does - the part about locking himself in a stall and not
coming out "go away, I've got a child in here" - sounded like he was in a
nursing home - sounded like the whole story was flashbacks of a man's life
before he got dementia.

I really don't think that's the case. Sounds like pure fiction to me. All of
it. Especially the part about his father. Wasn't there a part about the
father locking himself in a bathroom stall wearing a diaper? Does that sound
plausible to you?
