face="Times New Roman">On November 14, 2009 Gavilan College is presenting a
Medieval Faire in conjunction with Darkwood’s <SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Canton of Hawks Haven. It will basically
be an all day demonstration of medieval life similar to the Renaissance Faire.
We will have armored fighters tourney (usual Turkey Tourney), a period rapier
fighters tourney(usual Turkey Tourney), artisans, musicians, choir, medieval
dancers teaching the populous dances, games, booths with medieval themes, roving
performances of Comedia Del Arte and/or other entertainment, amour
demonstrations,bottle cutting contest <SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>yes and even merchants to attend and show
off life in the middle ages to a SCA and non-SCA audience.

style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal"><FONT size=3><FONT
face="Times New Roman">There is no site fee but individual booths may charge
fees to participate as a fund raiser. Please do not bring weapons as there is a
strict rule on the Gavilan Campus about
weapons.<o:p></o:p></FONT></FONT></B></P>

style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal"><FONT size=3><FONT
face="Times New Roman">Could the following people e-mail me to confirm whether
they are available to participate: Dance Master or someone representing Vincent,
the choir master or someone that could represent John, Michael McKay for games
or someone that would like to have a games booth, and someone that could run the
rapier tournament? Anyone that would like to merchant (please no weapons sales)
or a group that would like to have a yard sale of costumes, armor or anything
medieval for sale.<o:p></o:p></FONT></FONT></B></P>
