Bard of the Mists Feast and Competition

Come and celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of the Bard of the Mists Competition! We will be gathering once again in the mead hall to share poetry and song, music and tales, while feasting on food and words in the tradition of the British Isles. Bards, poets, scops, jongleurs, and storytellers are all called to come and be a part of this day, as competitors, auditors, or listeners. All are invited to be part of the day as valued members of the audience, without whom there can be no performances. We shall make the hall resound with our revelry!

Competition Categories: There are five rounds of competition as follows: A period piece, with documentation, a piece in a period style, with documentation, a masterwork, Bard’s choice: on cooks and cooking, , and three words from a hat (written during a 15 minute timeframe on the day of the competition).

When: Saturday, September 24th, 2011
Site Opens at 11:00 A.M., with the feast and competition beginning at 1:00 P.M.
Site closes at 10:00 P.M.

Members: $10 
Non-Members: $15 
Children, 6-12: $5 
Children 5 and under: Free 
Family cap: $40 
Feast tickets are $11 / person
(There is a $3.00 NMS fee for nonmembers, which, if needed or desired, the West Kingdom Welcoming Committee will assist with.)
