Hi,
I would love to get your input on the Summer Activities. I was thinking =
that if we combine the Summer Activities with the recruitment drive it =
would be a great opportunity to build our pack. Here is what I was =
thinking. We offer the registered Scouts in pack 218 freebies to each =
event. Except for the Rain Gutter Regatta which we will charge $5.00 =
for the price of the boat. Then, friends and family are invited to each =
activity at cost. I would put together a flyer and mail it to each =
scout during the beginning of May. At the pack meeting we ask for =
people to sign up for each activity they are interested in. This flyer =
can be taken to the Open Houses for a recruitment incentive.
Here is what I have been able to find out about the cost and =
arrangements for each activity:
Family Camp
June 7-9, 2002
Mount Modonna, Santa Clara County Park
Bayview area campsites: Arrowhead and Buckhorn
Scouts, Family, and Friends Free

Camping begins Friday after 4:00pm and end Sunday morning. Bring warm =

(I will not be sure about the cost until the date is set. The Junior =

I would like to get the times and dates filled in for each activity =
before the flyer goes out. I would also like to include on the flyer =
awards that the Scouts will receive for attending the activities, =
including a participation patch for racing in the Rain Gutter Regatta. =
What do you think? I welcome your thoughts, comments, and ideas.
