We're a Commodore 64, Macintosh, MSDOS and (soon) PalmOS software company committed to bringing you the best in game and utility software for your computer. You can count on us to give you the most superb quality and functionality in our programs.

How We Work

Computer Workshops works under the Shareware policy. If you use a program for an extended amount of time, you are expected to pay the registration fee. Most of our programs are working models until you register them. At that point, additional features will be released. We can't force you to register, but we can make it worth your while when you do. Registration instructions are included prominently with all our Shareware releases. Please register today.

How To Get Our Releases

Anonymous FTP: We distribute the shareware versions of our programs at the Armory in Santa Cruz, Calif. at ftp.armory.com in the directory /pub/user/spectre. This site also contains various other useful C64/128, Mac and MSDOS related utilities and information.

By Mail: We will be happy to make copies of our shareware programs for you and send them to you by mail.

With your request, please include:

The name of the program you wish to copy.
Enough disks to hold the program. Most of our programs will fit on one regular disk. If more space is required, the page will note this requirement. Please have these disks preformatted to expedite your request. We copy C64/128 software to 5.25" disks only. ALL DISKS MUST BE DOUBLE DENSITY, NOT HIGH DENSITY, FOR C64/128 PROGRAMS. MSDOS software can be copied to either 5.25" or 3.5". Macintosh software can be copied only to 3.5".
A self-addressed, stamped disk mailer. Disks sent without adequate postage cannot be returned.

Send the disk, mailer with postage, and program request to our postal address on our main page.
Please note that Computer Workshops cannot be responsible for disks lost in the mail or disks sent without adequate postage. We provide this as a free service, but we cannot be held liable. Allow 2-4 weeks for delivery. Disks sent improperly or in the wrong format cannot be processed and may not be returned, so check carefully.

Ordering Information

ALL MONEY MUST BE IN U.S. FUNDS. We accept:

cash -- strictly at sender's risk. We are not responsible for cash lost in the mail! Foreign currency is not accepted and will not be returned!
check or money order -- all checks must be made out to "Cameron Kaiser". Personal checks have a mandatory 7-10 day clearing time.
credit cards -- we accept most major credit cards through the free service at PayPal.com. Registration is easy and simple and we can process your order almost immediately!

Funds sent to us through PayPal should be sent to spectre@deepthought.armory.com to ensure we receive your payment.

By Mail

Enclose a check or money order made out to "Cameron Kaiser", or use PayPal to wire your credit card order to spectre@deepthought.armory.com, and also include information about the titles you are ordering. Send your mail to:

For by-mail orders, you must enclose the proper shipping and handling fees or your order cannot be processed. For most software, the charge is:

$3 per copy for continental United States
$5 per copy for Canada, Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico
$8 per copy for all other overseas orders

Software with higher S&H will be stated on the page.

Electronically

Shipping is free with all electronic orders! -- we just have to send you the registration key and/or the software in E-mail. What could be simpler?

OR wire us the money from your credit card via PayPal to spectre@deepthought.armory.com, and tell us your order by sending us E-mail.

You must provide a valid E-mail address or your order can't be processed. If you are paying by check or money order, your order will be shipped when your check is cleared -- allow approximately 10 days after receipt of your check -- and you may wish to inform us of your order by sending us E-mail so that we will be expecting it. PayPal orders are E-mailed as soon as we receive the order and confirmation of payment (which usually is sent almost immediately).
